The Lagos Ministry of Education has released the academic calendar for the 2022/2023 session. Schools are to resume on Monday, January 9 for the second term.
Second term mid-term break starts from February 20 to 24 2023, and public holidays in the session include Good Friday (April 7), Easter Monday (April 10), and Eid-ul-Fitri (April 21 to 24).
The third term commences on April 25, with a mid-term break from June 5 to 9.
Third-term holidays include Children’s Day (May 27), Democratic Day (June 12), and Eid-ul-Adha (June 28 to 29).
The state government directed schools to maintain a minimum of 180 learning days. It said they must observe public holidays and ensure third term vacation does not exceed eight weeks.
