Great news for aspiring Biomedical Engineers! The Federal School of Biomedical Engineering (FSBE) at Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) is now accepting applications for admission into its National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) Programmes for the 2023/2024 academic session.
Established in 2003 by the Federal Ministry of Health, FSBE was one of the pioneering five Schools of Biomedical Engineering set up to address the crucial shortage of adequately trained Biomedical Technicians in the healthcare sector. With the rise of technology in healthcare, the need for trained professionals who can operate, maintain, and repair medical equipment has never been higher. FSBE aims to fill this gap by providing top-quality education through its fully accredited ND and interim accredited HND programmes in Biomedical Engineering Technology.
But FSBE’s vision doesn’t stop there. The School aims to serve as a beacon of academic excellence, promoting practical-based learning, ethical principles, national unity, service to humanity, and ultimately striving to become the world’s leading and most innovative Biomedical Engineering school. Under the motto ‘Saving lives by saving medical equipment,’ FSBE is committed to training qualified Biomedical Engineers and Technicians who can contribute to the technological and economic growth of our country.
