MAUTECH Postgraduate Admission Form 2022/2023

Modibbo Adama University of Technology (MAUTECH), Yola, has opened applications for admission into its full-time Postgraduate Diploma, Master’s, and Ph.D. programs for the 2022/2023 academic session. The School of Postgraduate Studies invites suitably qualified candidates to submit their applications and take advantage of this opportunity to advance their careers.

MAUTECH Postgraduate Admission Requirements

The following qualifications may grant admission into specific postgraduate programs:

Postgraduate Diploma:

• Graduates of MAU Yola or any other recognized university with at least a Third-Class Degree in relevant disciplines.
• Holders of a Higher National Diploma (HND) with at least a Lower Credit (GPA of 3.50 on a 5-point scale) in a relevant discipline.
• Holders of other professional qualifications accepted by the School of Postgraduate Studies and the University Senate.
• In special cases, candidates may be admitted after passing department/school-prescribed tests or examinations.

Master’s Degree:

• Holders of a first degree from MAU Yola with at least Second Class Honours in a relevant subject.
• Holders of equivalent qualifications from other recognized universities.
• Candidates with a Third-Class Honours degree or HND with Lower Credit (CGPA of 3.50 on a 5-point scale) may be eligible if they:
  • Have a relevant Postgraduate Diploma with Lower Credit (CGPA of 3.50 on a 5-point scale) or
  • Pass any prescribed qualifying examination for admission.

Doctor of Philosophy (PhD):

• Candidates who hold a Master’s Degree from MAU Yola with a GPA of 3.50 (on a 5-point scale) or 60% and above.
• Candidates with equivalent qualifications from other recognized universities.

General Admission Requirements:

• Candidates must have passed at least five departmental relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, at Credit level.
• When required by the Department/School Postgraduate Committee, a candidate may be asked to sit for and pass a qualifying examination either before approving their registration or at any appropriate stage of their program.

Duration of MAUTECH Postgraduate Programmes 

• Postgraduate Diploma Program by Coursework and Project Report (Full-Time): 2 semesters (12 calendar months)
• Master’s Degree Program by Coursework and Thesis or Project Report for MBA and MPA (Full-Time): Minimum duration of 3 semesters (18 calendar months) and maximum duration of 6 semesters (36 calendar months)
• PhD Program by Coursework and Thesis (Full-Time): Minimum duration of 6 semesters (36 calendar months) and maximum duration of 10 semesters (60 calendar months)

How to Apply for MAUTECH Postgraduate Admission Form

1. Visit the official website of SPGS MAU Yola at https://pgmau.admissions.cloud
2. Create a Candidate Account by navigating to the same URL.
3. Obtain an application PIN for N15,000.00 using the email or mobile number you provided during account creation.
4. Sign in to your Candidate Account, fill out the online application form for your chosen program, and submit. Review your application and follow the instructions before submitting it.
5. Print two copies of the application form.
6. Send all documents in duplicate to the specified address.
7. Fill out the online Transcript Request Form and send it to your previous institutions. Make arrangements with your previous institutions to forward copies of your transcript along with the completed Transcript Request Form to “the Secretary, School of Postgraduate Studies at the Modibbo Adama University of Technology, Yola”. Without transcripts, application forms will not be processed.
8. Ensure you have a functional email and mobile number for communication purposes. Check your email and message boxes regularly for updates.
