OAU Pre-Degree Admission Invitation
LATEST UPDATE: This is to inform Applicants interested in obtaining Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Pre-Degree admission form that the application deadline has been extended.
The application deadline is now 12th September, 2022. Interested candidates are hereby advised to complete their registration before the new deadline.
Details on how to apply are as follows;
OAU Pre-Degree Admission has been announced for the 2022/2023 academic session by the school management. Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Pre-Degree Programme for 2022/2023 Session.
Eligibility Criteria for OAU Pre-Degree Admission
Eligible Candidates must possess minimum of 5 Credits in 5 subjects at a maximum of two sittings including English Language (for ALL Courses), Mathematics (for Science-based and Social Science-based Courses) and Literature-in-English (for Law).
OAU Pre-Degree Programme Duration
The programme normally runs for two (2) contact periods both within nine (9) calendar months.

Listed in the table below are all available subject combinations. Note that English Language is compulsory for all candidates.

OAU Pre-Degree Admission Method of Application
General Information
- Applicants are to note that the Pre-degree entrance exam will be computer-based. You are hereby advised to familiarise yourself with the basic use of computer.
- Pre-Degree Applicants are advised to to be checking our website from time to time for the actual date of the Entrance Exam and other relevant information.
- All candidates are required to register for 2023 UTME during the Programme.
- All Candidates are required to use valid e-mail addresses and PERSONAL Telephone Numbers.
- The forms must be filled and submitted on-line either immediately or within 2 weeks of accessing the website. No downloaded or printed copies of forms will be accepted.
- Applicants are to note that the Pre-Degree Entrance Exam holds at Ile-Ife Centre and a centre in Ikeja, Lagos State.
- Candidates are advised to follow the Application Instructions very carefully and ensure they select the Correct SUBJECT COMBINATION. Failure to do so may adversely affect the Candidate.

About OAU
The Obafemi Awolowo University is a comprehensive public institution established in 1962 as The University of Ife. The University is situated on a vast expanse of land totaling 11,861 hectares in Ile-Ife, Osun State, southwest of Nigeria.
In the 1970’s and the early 1980’s, the University attained a foremost position among universities in Africa, with a vibrant academic and social atmosphere and a high international reputation. Today, the University celebrates a rich tradition of excellence having produced, from among its staff, a Nobel Laureate and four National Merit Award winners.
The University comprises the central campus, the student residential area, the staff quarters and a Teaching and Research Farm. The central campus comprises the academic, administrative units and service centers. The student residential area are made up of 10 undergraduate hostels and a postgraduate hall of residence. Many restaurants are located here. There is a power station, a dam and a water treatment plant.
