A recent graduate from the Federal University of Technology Akure has shared the story behind his feat after bagging a first-class degree from the institution.
According to Temilehin P. Abayomi, he was first enrolled at the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) in the year 2008 and was rusticated from the school in his final semester. Though he did not state reasons for his expulsion, he explained that it was a trying moment for him and his family, and he attempted to take his life in the process.
Abayomi went on to reveal that he eventually got admission into FUTA in 2015 and bagged a first-class degree in Quantity Surveying. He went on to encourage those who feel like they are failures for not emerging victorious at a particular phase in life, to keep hope alive as the failure was only temporal.
