Students of the Ogun State Institute of Technology, OGITECH have protested against an alleged increment in tuition fee. See details below.
The students of Ogun State Institute of Technology, OGITECH (OGITECH) staged a protest at the main entrance of the school campus over an alleged hike in tuition fee and 60% tuition clause as a requirement for students to write their CBT test.
Some of the students said the new fee is unbearable and outrageous,
Following this, the STUDENT UNION GOVERNMENT of the school has published a notice asking students to stay calm as the union is working to proffer a solution.
The notice reads, “The students union government wishes to notify the ND2 and the HND 2 students that the CBT test scheduled to hold today 22nd March 2021 will no longer hold. This action became sacrosanct because of the clause attached (60% tuition) as the requirement for students to write the test. Students are hereby advised to stay clear ICT center until the students union proffer solution to the problem. “
