President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Prof. Ibrahim Dantani Wushishi as the substantive Registrar/Chief Executive of the National Examinations Council (NECO) following the demise of the former Registrar, Prof. Godswill Obioma.
His appointment was contained in a memo dated 16th July 2021 with reference No: FME/PSE/NECO/1078/C.1/36.
The letter signed by the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu said Wushishi’s term is for an initial five years and took effect from 12th July, 2021.
The Professor of Science Education and Niger State native was born on April 5, 1965.
He was a lecturer in the Faculty of Education, Usmanu Danfodio University, Sokoto, before transferring his services to the Federal University of Technology (FUT), Minna.
The appointee has held other positions in the education sector.
Until his new appointment, Wushishi was a Professor of Science Education (Chemistry) at FUT, Minna.
