A 37-year-old primary school driver of Beehive Nursery and Primary School, Agidingbi, Kingsley Okwumbu, has been remanded in Kirikiri Correctional center for allegedly defiling a three-year-old pupil of the school.
The suspect was arraigned before a magistrate court in Ikeja on Tuesday, April 19, for the defilement and sexual assault of the minor which occurred in March 2022.
Magistrate Ejiro Kubeinje did not take Okwumbu’s plea and ordered that he should be remanded at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre. The magistrate directed the police to send the case file to the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) and adjourned the case to May 10.
