A Secondary School One (SS1) student of Alapoti High School in Ado-Odo-Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State identified as Bankole Kamoli has been arrested for wearing a charm popularly known as ‘igbadi’ to school.
The student was arrested by the men of the State-owned security outfit, So-Safe Corps, and found guilty of smoking, drinking, gambling, and committing other criminal activities while putting on his school uniform.
Pictures of Kamoli wearing the fetish item on his waist were shared online and have since gone viral.
Reacting to the arrest, the school’s principal, Mrs. Orenuga F B, insisted that Kamoli was “no longer a student of the school because he and his parents had not signed the undertaking form upon resumption as directed by the state government.
