Following the declaration of an indefinite strike by members of ASUU on Monday, August 29, the Federal Government has summoned Pro-chancellors, Chairmen of Governing Councils, and Vice-chancellors of various universities to a crucial meeting next week.
According to the circular addressed to Federal University council chairmen and vice chancellors, the crucial meeting is to be held with the Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu on Tuesday, September 6th, at NUC Auditorium.
The meeting, according to the circular is to brief the universities managements on the decisions and actions that the federal government has so far taken on resolving the strike and to allow for a well-coordinated review of the situation, including building consensus around succeeding actions.
