The directives which were contained in a statement issued by the NCDC on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, called on school management to conduct daily temperature checks and anyone with a temperature above 38oC should be barred from classes.
It also emphasized that handwashing facilities and hand sanitizers for hand hygiene be provided by schools, while Masks must be worn by all those over the age of 6 years on school premises. The statement further advised all eligible persons to get vaccinated against COVID-19 at one of the nearby vaccination sites as the deadly Omicron variant scourges on.
