Gunmen suspected to be cultists have killed a 23-year-old computer science student of the National Open University of Nigeria, Ilorin, Kwara state, Mohammed Isiaka.
The student was shot in the chest on Tuesday, July 12 at about 4.30 pm after a group of boys visited his residence in the Akerebiata area of Ilorin.
Mohammed was taken to the University of Ilorin teaching hospital where he was confirmed dead and his corpse deposited for autopsy.
The spokesperson of the state police command, SP Okasanmi Ajayi who confirmed the incident said the state Commissioner of Police, has ordered a discreet and result-oriented investigation into the matter.
