A 100-level student of the University of Jos, Iyaje Abuma Shedrack, has lost his life after being reportedly stabbed by assailants suspected to be hoodlums around the permanent site of the school.
The incident happened around 2:30 pm on Thursday, August 19, following the relaxation of the 24-hour statewide curfew earlier declared by the state governor, Simon Bako Lalong.
According to Comrade Danladi Joshua, UNIJOS SUG president who confirmed the incident, the student was attacked after boarding a tricycle popularly called ‘Keke napep’ from the Permanent site of the University to the main campus when he was pulled out and stabbed to death.
