The Management of the Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, has suspended one of its lecturers who was declared wanted by the Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).
The lecturer identified as Dr. Olaniran Balogun, the Head of the Department of Religious Studies is being accused of alleged abuse of office and demanding gratification by the ICPC and was placed on a ”wanted list” by the agency.
His suspension was relayed in a statement issued by the Deputy Registrar, Media, and Corporate Relations, Gbenga Omilola, on Sunday, August 28.
The statement noted that the lecturer has been relieved of his duties and placed on interdiction until he is cleared of all allegations of misdemeanors brought against him by the federal anti-graft agency.
