A 30-year-old teacher in Zamfara state has been arrested by operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), for defiling a 13-year-old pupil in the State.
Spokesperson of NSCDC in the state, Ikor Oche, who confirmed the report said the suspect identified as Mukaila Abdurrazak, has been teaching the minor both in school and at home and had been taking advantage of the girl for the past three years.
Oche stated that the suspect confessed to the crime during preliminary investigation and will be charged to court.
The Zamfara NSCDC advised parents to be vigilant and mindful of who they are leaving their children and wards for in the disguise of teaching or otherwise
