The University of Ibadan in a circular issued to heads of departments and the entire university community has said that graduands without first-class honors will not be allowed into the convocation hall in the university’s upcoming convocation ceremony.
Graduands were rather advised to join the ceremony which is slated to hold between November 15 and 17 2021, online. According to the University’s Public Relations Officer, Olatunji Oladejo, the decision was taken to curb the spread of coronavirus.
He added that award winners would also be allowed access into the hall, and all graduating students are expected to pay the levies as stipulated whether or not they attend the convocation ceremonies as these will be required at the point of collection of the certificate.
