In the light of the above, the Senate Car Park will be RESTRICTED FOR USE to the public on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 and Wednesday, January 18, 2023.
Members of staff and the General Public are advised to make use of the Kosoko Drive Quadrangle for parking of cars during this period.
Please note that there shall be no convocation party/canopies on campus.
UNILAG 53rd Convocation Ceremonies Programme
The management of University of Lagos has released the breakdown of the payment and payment procedure for 60th anniversary (53rd) Convocation Ceremonies.
Payment for ALL graduating students for the Convocation Ceremonies shall be as stated below:
- Mandatory Payment
PGD, Masters Degree ( N25,000.00) M.Phil.Doctorate Degree (N25,000.00)
- Purchase/Hiring
Gown, Hood & Cap shall be obtained at the following cost
Academic outfit will be available at the School of Postgraduate Studies.
- Return of Academic Outfit
The deadline for return of all academic outfits shall be Thursday, February 16, 2023, while those who fail to return the outfit by Thursday, February 16, 2023 shall pay a penalty of N5,000.00 on return of the gown.
- Collection of Certificates
All graduating students are expected to collect their certificates within three (3) months after Convocation. Failure to collect will attract a demurrage of N50 per day.

Invitation Cards for Graduating Students
Each graduating student shall be granted access into the J.F. Ade. Ajayi Auditorium on first-come, first-served basis. Convocation Brochures are to be collected at the School of Postgraduate Studies. Graduating students are enjoined to attend the Convocation Ceremonies punctually.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Folasade Tolulope Ogunsola, FAS on behalf of the entire University community congratulates all graduating students. Please be assured that certificates would be ready for collection immediately after each ceremony upon the presentation of all necessary clearance.
