An online vendor and a student of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), has called out singer Davido and his team for refusing to pay a 1 million Naira debt owed him since 2020.
According to the vendor with the Instagram handle ”mastermindwears”, Davido had reached out to him in December 2020 and indicated interest in getting a pink stuffed dummy. He added that the singer told him he couldn’t pay for the product immediately because he had exceeded his transfer limit for the day, promising to pay as soon as possible.
However, more than a year after the business was transacted, all efforts to get paid proved abortive as he claimed to have allegedly been blocked on the social media platform after reaching out to David’s manager and a member of his team.
He also added that a member of Davido’s team tried to deny that the singer ever bought anything from him, and went on to share screenshots of Davido’s daughter playing with the dummy and also that of videos posted online by Davido’s team with the dummy in the background.
He pleaded with Davido to pay him so that he can settle his needs at school and take care of his mother.
