A 26-year-old corps member who was declared wanted by the Nigeria Police Force for the impersonation of an Assistant Superintendent of Police, and his involvement in several criminal offenses, has been arrested.
The NYSC member was arrested in a joint operation by international police operatives in the Benin Republic and Nigeria on Friday, March 3, 2023.
Nnamdi was declared wanted on February 20, 2023, following allegations that he and some top police officers in the Anambra State Command were involved in the kidnapping, extortion, human organ trafficking, and killing of suspects who they arrest on trumped-up charges. Read here
It was gathered that Nnamdi is an IT expert who started impersonating personnel of the Nigeria Police Force while he served as a tracker in the Anambra Police Command. He is currently in police custody.
