The management of the University of Benin has commended Philip Okafor, a 200-level student of the Department of Microbiology for his exemplary behavior. The student was conferred with the Dean’s special prize which would exempt him from paying school fees throughout his remaining period of undergraduate studies in the faculty.
A statement credited to the Dean states that the student had found a wallet containing a substantial amount of money that belonged to another student and instead of keeping the money for himself, he searched for the owner and returned the wallet with its contents intact.
The Dean thanked Okafor for his exemplary behavior and offered him unrestricted access to his office should there be any need.
